Why I started my own Work at Home Institute

I just put up a new page talking about my motivations of putting together my own work at home institute. Of course the article is named "The Reasons I Started My Own Work at Home Institute" (makes sense). But this page isn't talking about just why mine is so great but also the short comings of the original Work at Home Institute or what some people know as the WAHI. I think this is very important. The WAHI or Work at Home Institute has received national press about what a great resource it is for finding legitimate work from home opportunities. I think it is very important that people have the proper ecxpectations before giving out there information.

Check it out. "The Reasons I started My Own Work at Home Institute"

My Completed Project

This post is more of a parent showing off their child that they are proud of. It is not a child but a website that I recently finished that I am proud of Total Leather Solutions. I now there are tons of people out there that can do better but I'm proud of it. It has also resulted in some sales for the client already so that is great to. If you need some leather cleaner and conditioner you should definetly check them out. They also offer free shipping.

This is another example of how you can make some extra money online. This is a family friend so it was only a few hundred dollars for them to have me do it and since they weren't in any big hurry I did a little when I got the chance. Everybody won and is happy.

Holy Cow!!!! Gas Prices!!!!!

This post really has nothing to do with anything regarding the theme of this blog.

What is going on with gas prices? I haven't had to put gas in my car for the past 4 days so I haven't really noticed. But on Thursday of last week it was $3.12 a gallon. Which still isn't good but relatively cheap compared to the rest of the country. This morning it was $3.35!!!!!! I have a little Hyundai Elantra and it cost $46 to fill the take! I make a pretty good living. I can not see how someone with kids and a mortgage making $50,000 a year could afford to drive to work anymore. My car gets good gas mileage at 30 MPG but most cars are in that 20 to 25 MPG range.

Bottom line the prices are insane!

Is something being done in the near future to correct this?

People will need a part time job to pay for gas to get to their full time job soon.

How I Make Money Online for FREE Part 1 (Blogs)

People ask me all the time how I make money online. What people don't realize is that it is a combination of things and not just one program or system. Also that it took me years and years to figure out. Now people see the final "product" of me making a very nice living working from home but not the years of me falling for every scam out there.

You can make money from home with out investing any money. It will take time and work but definetly doable. This post will be the first of many outlining the different avenues a utilize to generate income online. Some of these will be a good fit for you and others will not. But ultimately nothing will be costing you any money, that I can guarantee you.

You will not see any get rich quick schemes or programs. You will also not see any type of selling of products. Everything I will be outlining you can do with just your brain and a computer with internet access.

I thought it would be appropiate to have the first part of this series to be about making money blogging, since that is what I am doing right now. There are many free blogging platforms that you can use. The free platform I am using is blog.com but there are many other good ones like wordpress.com and blogger.com. It is ultimately up to you. They are all free and have pretty much the same functionality.

The very first thing you need to do is start blogging. Realistically for a blog to generate income you need to get people reading it. The easiest and free way to gain those visitors is blogging on a consistent basis (3 to 4 times a week) about a topic you enjoy. The fun part is that it can be about whhatever you want. It is important that it be a topic you are interested in because you need to keep producing content. If you consistently post, in about 2 to 3 months you will see that you will begin to gain significant visitors (traffic) from serach engine (Google, Yahoo, MSN). (You can find out more about marketing a blog by clicking here.)

The hardest part is over. You've blogged and blogged for months without making a dime and are finally getting traffic. Now it is time to monetize your traffic. What does that mean? Start making money from the people coming to your site. I'm going to recommend two ways. These two strategies are the basics and all the other options out there are variations on these two.

The very first way is through something like Google Adsense or Yahoo. These are programs that pay you every time one of your visitors clicks the ads posted on your site. I have been using Google for years and make significant income every month from ad revenue. Some people like Yahoo but ultimately it is up to you. Both are free to join and good programs. You can learn more about Google adwords by clicking below.

The second route I use to make money from my blog is a site called pay per post. This is still based around ad revenue, but a little different approach then Google or Yahoo. This is more of a blogger community who puts their services out to bid. You make money by advertisers bidding on advertising on your site. You can also make money by posting your blogging sevices and getting hired. Once again this is absolutely free to join. The major requirement to be part of this community is that your blog has to be active for at least three months. By active it means that you have to post at least once a week to join. Click the logo below to check it out.

I hope you find this first installment of how to make money for free online helpful. Please keep an eye out for part 2 in the next few days. As you can see from above you can make money with out spending any of your money but it will take work. I you really want to make money I encourage you to keep reading. You can learn even more about legitimate work from home by clicking here. If you are looking for get rich quick schemes, this is probably not the place for you.

Questions NOT to Ask During a Job Interview

I spent a lot of time covering questions that interviewers will ask you during a job interview and what is the best way to answer those questions. What about the questions you should be asking? Yes, you should be asking questions during your job interview.

Here is a list of
questions you should NOT ask during the job interview. I have interviewed thousands of people over many years for various positions and I am always surprised how few questions applicants ask during the interview process. This is a place you are going to be spending 40 hours a week at and will be depending on to feed you and pay your bills. Shouldn't you have some questions to evaluate if it is the right opportunity for you?

Here is a
list of questions you should NOT ask during the job interview. You never ask questions just for the sake of asking questions, everyone should have a purpose. But a bad questions could easily cost you the position.

I once was interviewing a woman for a position I was looking to fill. The interview was going great and she had great experience. I was anticipating setting up a second interview. At the end of the interview I asked "Do you have any questions?".  This great candidate asked the king of kings worst
question that you should never ask on a job interview, "How important is it to be at work on time with this organization?". She was not asked back for a second interview. Learn more questions you should not ask during the job interview.

Work at Home Institue

What is the Work at Home Institute? We put this page together for people who are just looking for good legitimate work at home opportunities without having to do much digging.

For the four years that I have been producing
jpcservicesinc.com most people just want a list of opportunities and don't necessarily care about all the research we have done and why they are legitimate work at home opportunities. That is why we started the Work at Home Institute. No explainations or comments just a list of opportunities ranging from paid surveys, writing from home to earn money, to work at home programs.

All the money making opportunities at the Work at Home Institute are legitimate opportunities that I personally belong to and have made money from.

GAS WAR - an idea that WILL work

I'm not a fan of those emails that state "send this email to ten people". But I got this email today and thought at the very least I should post it for your consideration. I'm not saying it is a good or bad idea, just interesting. Do with it what you feel is appropiate.

GAS WAR - an idea that WILL work

This was originally sent by a retired Coca Cola executive. It came from one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton. It's worth your consideration.

Join the resistance!!!!

I hear we are going to hit close to $4.00 a gallon by THIS summer and it might go higher!! Want gasoline prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united action. Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea.

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day" campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them.

BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work. Please read on and join with us! By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about $2.50 is super cheap.  Me too! It is currently $3.49 for regular unleaded in my town. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $2.50 - $2.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the market place.... not sellers.

With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.

Here's the idea:

For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers.  It's really simple to do! Now, don't wimp out at this point.... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people.

I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us sends it to at least ten more (30 x 10 =3D 300) ... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 =3D 3,000)...and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth group of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers. If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it.....

THREE >>>>HUNDRED MILLION >>>>PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all. (If you don't understand how we can reach 300 million and all you have to do is send this to 10 people.... Well, let's face it, you just aren't a mathematician. But I am, so trust me on this one.)

How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!!

I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you? Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on.

I suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO AN ACCEPTABLE  RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN.

THIS CAN REALLY WORK

Common Job Interview Questions

I've just updated a new page http://jpcservicesinc.com/JobInterviewQuestions.html

Here I have put a list of common job interview questions along with answers. Answers is probably the wrong term, more like suggestions because every answer should be customized to best fit you. What I have done is listed questions that interviewers commonly ask and why they ask them. This will put you in the best position to answer them and land the job you are interviewing for.

I was really motivated to finish this page the past week because I am actively interviewing people at my organization for a position. I have been really surprised how horrible people are at interviewing and answering very common questions. Interviewing is a skill that needs to be learned and hopefully http://jpcservicesinc.com/JobInterviewQuestions.html will be useful to people.
